I am happy report that I have done exceptionally well after my Lap-Band surgery on 6/7/05. At two and one half weeks post-op I have lost 18 pounds, and have had minimal discomfort. I start solids tomorrow, so another new adventure begins.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, Dr. Martinez, and your excellent staff for the professional care and kindness shown during my stay. I was very impressed with the manner in which my surgery proceeded from the business office to dismissal. Every member of your team knew their job and did it very well.
As a health professsional myself, it was very reassuring to see that all aspects of medical evaluation were completed prior to the procedure. The health history form was very thorough; the lab work, EKG, pulmonary function, and nutritional assessments were competently done. The facilities were first class all the way. The accomodations were exceptional.
I was glad that I read your book prior to my procedure because it answered so many questions. I knew what to expect, and therefore there was much less anxiety that day. I would highly recommend that your potential patients get a copy of that book.
