Obesity Control Center^® is pleased and honored to have an experienced and skilled team of surgical nurses who assist in every procedure under the direction of the attending physicians.

Sofia Lagunes Peña, RN  – Registered nurse and  surgical nurse assistant of Dr. Ortiz for many years, she is also one of our excellent post-surgery care nurses.

Linda Martin Cuevas, RN  – Has six years of experience as  a binational nurse in Mexico and United States. She is not only a new addition to our team but she is also a former patient of Dr. Ortiz.

Lourdes Velasco, Dietitian – Not only responsible for our patients’ diets, but she keeps our OCC staff nice and slim. Voted employee of the year 2 years in a row.

Ana Laura Soria Varela, RN -  Surgical nurse who has performed more than 2,000 surgeries along with Dr. Ortiz and Dr. Martinez.

Josefa Garcia Gordillo, RN -  With 28 years of experience taking care of patients and guiding them to a successful recovery, she has been recognized by our patients as one of their favorite nurses.
