Dr. Acosta received his medical training at the University of Baja California, School of Medicine. He is currently fulfilling his residency in anesthesiology at Tijuana General Hospital.

Since 2007, he has been practicing along with Dr. Ortiz and his team of surgeons, helping patients achieve their weight loss goals through proper post op care and band adjustments. As a bariatric patient management specialist, Dr. Acosta’s training enables him to treat and guide patients with the highest quality of care.

Among other achievements, he is the published author of numerous articles on bariatric surgery and research and is certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support by the American Safety & Health Institute. A professional in the bariatric field, he also provides fellow doctors and nurses with the proper training required to meet the growing need for weight loss surgery professionals.
