For the last 15 years, Dr. Jimenez has served as chief of the cardiovascular and pre-op program at OCC, where he helps prevent complications in high-risk obese patients.
Dr. Jimenez graduated from the School of Medicine from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara. He is certified as a surgeon since 1990. He has a subspecialty in Internal Medicine and Critical Care, and was certified in Critical Care medicine in 1995. He was chief of the Intensive Care department at hospital Excel.
He is pioneer and collaborator in the cardiac surgery field and also has been chief of the post-operatory cardiovascular care service.
Throughout his career, over 15 years, he has been founder and partner of a number of groups that have developed programs for cardiac surgery.
Since 2002, he has been a collaborator and physician for the Critic Care Unit at the General Regional Hospital No. 1, IMSS, Tijuana, Mexico. This unit handles patients with cardiac surgery, kidney transplant, metabolic diseases and neurosurgery.
Dr. Jimenez also functions as professor of the continuous education program in medical training and residency in the emergency and general surgery areas. For 20 years he has been working in the investigation of oncology degenerative diseases, as well as the implementation of a new immunotherapy program.
For the last 3 years he continues with his Fellowship in Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine in the University of Florida. He is affiliated to the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, to the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine and to the International Society for Stem Cell Research.
He has taken multiple courses to improve diagnosis and attention to the critical patient, especially abdominal ultrasound and echocardiography in Critical Care approved by the Society of Critical Care and the University of Montreal, receiving his diplomas to manage ultrasonography for diagnosis.
Currently he is an active member of the Sociedad de Medicina de Cuidados Intensivos, American College of Chest Physicians and the European Society for Critical Care. He is a certified instructor in fundamental support FCC Critical Care of the Society of Critical Care.
