My name is Jessica, I’m 35 years old and I had VSG at OCC with Dr Ariel Ortiz in Aug 2017. The highest weight I ever saw on the scale was 329lbs. I was depressed, had a really low self esteem and my only comfort was food. I tried dieting several times…the most I ever lost on my own was 80lbs. Then I would start to feel better so I’d start to go out more and start back with the bad eating habits…got lazy with the gym and found myself even bigger than before. This was a cycle I couldn’t get out of. Then one day I ran into a friend that had success with bariatric surgery so I got curious and went online and started to see so many other success stories and it sparked a desire for change. It took me 2 years to decide to have bariatric surgery and I made sure I did my research and chose the best doctor I could find which was Dr Ortiz. I am so happy I made the choice to change my life with bariatric surgery and I couldn’t be happier with the experience and care I had with OCC from the moment I got picked up from the airport until I went home and the after care follow up as well. My life has changed so much thanks to OCC… I’m an outgoing and more confident person. I’m managing a gym and found a passion for powerlifting.
