From the bottom of my heart I want to thank you for my life. I can’t imagine where I would be without you! I am alive, healthy, and happy! You truly have given me a second chance.
July 2019 was the 5 year anniversary of my surgery. I lost almost 200 lbs within the initial year of surgery. I am proud to say I have kept the weight off and gained nearly 40 lbs of muscle from staying regular at the gym and eating small meals multiple times a day. I keep away from sugar and eat low carb. I find I don’t digest carbs as well anymore. After my surgery I went after a childhood dream of becoming a firefighter and succeeded on the first try. Recently, I had my body composition tested, and I am very proud to say my body fat is down to 12.8%. I have completely changed my life and when I walk into a room people look at me as a physically fit person and never would guess I once weighed over 440lbs. After my surgery, I bought a sauna and used it regularly to help my skin bounce back. I have a few issues with my chest and stomach, but it is not something that bothers me too much. I want to thank you for my surgery and I hope you see these results and are stunned and happy to know you changed not only my life but my family’s also. I compete in CrossFit competitions along with my wife of 17 years. My 11 year old son works out with us at our CrossFit gym, wants to follow my footsteps of being a firefighter, and as compete in CrossFit competitions when he gets a little older.
