Thank you is just not enough

The attention to detail. When I first send my medical history I was looking to see if the person who elevated my history, saw all the small stuff, Dr. Ortiz did. So many other doctors I had an elevation with missed those things and never even mentioned it. I was impressed. The hospital was just one of 2 hospitals that had the seal of excellence and I felt safe, especially traveling so far away from home. Everyone was so helpful and I didn’t feel like I was on a cattle farm or that I was being forced to do a procedure I was not comfortable with. The coordinator, the nutritionist and doctors, everyone was so accessible it was amazing. Almost a year after surgery and I can still pick up my phone and call the OCC and feel so welcome. It’s amazing.
So, after having kids, I forgot me in the process and didn’t take very good care of myself. I started gaining weight around age 22 and it just got worst each year. My heaviest was 245lbs, I was so depressed and I did try almost every diet there was and I spend thousands of dollars I would lose 15lbs or 20lbs but gained it all back, it was depressing. Then I stared to have health issues. Sleep apnea, hiatal hernia along with acid reflux, then I became borderline diabetic and had high cholesterol. That was it for me, I had enough. So I started researching the lap band, one doctor told me I could not have the band done because of my hernia, another told me I needed a full gastric bypass. I was beginning to feel hopeless. But I didn’t give up. Then all the other doctors I researched the cost was just unbelievable. Then I remembered Dr. Ortiz from the Oprah show, of course I thought I would never be able to afford him, but I contacted the OCC and low and behold he was affordable and accessible. It was a dream come true, finally having my life back was within my reach. Do I have any regrets absolutely, not doing this before is the biggest one. I can’t say enough about Dr. Ortiz and his team. I have been given a second chance and I am so grateful. First let me just say Thank you from the bottom of my heart. When I look at myself today it still amazes me that I found my old self again. I feel like a teenager. Dr. Ortiz and Dr. Matinez are amazing doctors, I had the Gastric Sleeve done May 2015 and I am 10lbs away from my goal weight. The clinic is so clean and well equipment. Dr. Ortiz treats you like you’re family, Dr. Martinez you are a superstar in my book and his whole team is amazing. Christine at the front desk thanks for always being so patient with me and getting information and things done for me that is not, i’m sure, a part of your job description, you are an amazing human being, thank you. Leo what can I say, thanks for always making me see the big picture. Lucia your smile and your practical ways are a blessing. Dr. Limon, thanks for listening and putting my fears at rest. Dr. So, my Botox loved it, so knowledgable. It was my first time doing it and I have no regrets. I still take the Vitaleph vitamins, the multivitamins are the only ones I have found in years that give me no side effects and the shakes have been a life saver. The Obesity Control Center gave me my life back, so saying Thank you just does not seem like enough. May you always be blessed. I love you guys!
