I chose OCC because of its Surgeon & Hospital Accreditations. The standards to which they follow are high and high for a reason. There wasn’t really even a choice of other places to choose from. OCC is rated the best and has the best real personal reviews.
I have struggled with weight for the last 15 years. Up, down, up, down – you all know how it goes. Hey, I’m happy – let’s eat. I’m sad – time to eat. Let’s celebrate – let’s eat. What should we do now – I don’t know, but let’s eat. Eating was a quick gateway to instant gratification to try to feel good. I tried to lose weight many, many times. All I know is that I wanted to be skinnier for all the right reasons (health, life longevity, a better quality of life, etc…). On an annual guys’ friend trip I had recently attended in 2018, I noticed 3 new people were there. Turns out they were not new; they were 3 old friends with 3 new lives. They told me all about their journey through OCC & Gastric Sleeve Surgery. I knew right away that I needed to do this. I immediately turned to my buddy and said, “Let’s do this. You and I are going to change our lives and we need to do this together as soon as possible.” Four months later, we did it. It was the best decision of my entire life. October 2018 changed my life around and made it so much better for me, my wife, and my kids. My self-confidence, my self-image, and my life are at its best again. Thanks so much, Dr. Ariel Ortiz and Dr. Martinez and all the staff at OCC, I couldn’t have asked for better care, support, and follow-up support.
