I did a lot of research and I liked the reviews that OCC had. I liked the fact that no more than 5 surgeries are performed in one day, which tells me that they care about their patients. There was something about OCC that made me feel comfortable and safe having weight loss surgery there.
All my life I had been overweight. I was an overweight child, adolescent, and adult. I had very low energy, I was always very tired, my legs would always be aching, and I couldn’t even keep up with my kids. I was tired of being overweight. I had tried being on diets for almost half of my life. I would lose weight for a few months but then I would regain more than what I lost. My doctor put me on high blood pressure medicine and I was becoming diabetic, which I was also taking medications for the diabetes. One day, I was talking to one of my best friends and she mentioned weight loss surgery and I told her “You’re crazy, I could never afford that here in the U.S. My health insurance would never pay for that.” She also mentioned that one of her friends from work had weight loss surgery in Tijuana, Mexico and I thought to myself… there’s still hope. I started researching online about different weight loss surgeons in Tijuana, Mexico and I, thank God, came across OCC. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Ortiz and it went great. That day, I scheduled my surgery date and it’s gonna be almost a year out next month in September. My surgery went great! I have no complaints at all. The staff was very caring and all the doctors were great. This has been the best decision I have ever made. I’m off all of my medications. I feel healthier than I have ever felt in my life. I’m full of energy. I wanna thank OCC for giving me a Second Chance at a healthier lifestyle and for making me feel beautiful.
