Testimonials: When I called to schedule my surgery, I weighed 265 (my heaviest weight was 285), I am 5' 1' so I was short and very round. I had constant pain with my back, hips, and neck. That kind of weight on my bones and joints was taking its toll. I had already had two back surgeries, I had high cholesterol and was borderline diabetic. My thyroid levels and hormones were all over the place. I was going to spend the rest of my life miserable and sick if I didn't make a change. When I contacted OCC to schedule, I was amazed at how easy and seamless the process was. The staff walked me through everything... Passport, border crossing, accommodations, FMLA paperwork, payment, nutrition, medications, pre-op, etc. OCC couldn't make the process any easier if they tried. I was very impressed at how easy the whole process was from start to finish. It's a well-oiled machine. The facility is very nice with modern medical equipment and amenities. It is every bit as nice, if not better than some US surgical facilities. The medical team is very knowledgeable and I felt like I was in good hands. They are all so kind and compassionate. I went into my procedure with no fears knowing that they had everything covered. The post-op process is equally as good as the pre-op. It always surprises me when they check in on me even 6 years out. I chose OCC after I had a couple of coworkers who had their procedures there and told me of their experiences. I have about 10 coworkers now that have gone to OCC. I was fortunate enough to recently come back as a companion with a friend who just had the sleeve done at OCC. It is almost surreal to think I made that same trip 6 years earlier to change my life, so was honored to get to come back and see the other side of things. After my surgery I was able to stop taking the cholesterol meds, and I am no longer borderline diabetic, my hormones and thyroid have leveled out and I have now lost more than what I currently weigh and I feel amazing. My life has changed in so many ways because of the sleeve. Being healthy is the biggest win, and looking better is a huge bonus, in addition to that I am a much more confident, energetic, and happy person now. I knew I had made the right decision for me when I chose OCC for my sleeve surgery. I hope my story will inspire others who may be on the fence. My biggest regret... not doing it sooner.
