Testimonials: As everyone says, "I got my life back." My life back meant: back down to pre-baby sizes, energy surge, knowing that I can physically do what I have dreamed of doing, regaining my self esteem, and so much more. I am down 50 lbs. and 4 clothes sizes. From 202 lbs to 152 lbs. In my 20-30's, I considered myself an athlete. I lifted weights 3x a week, ran 6-10 miles daily 5 days a week, and was strict on my food intake. I did this because most of my family is heavy, and I didn't want to go down that path of obesity, too. In my 40's we made a huge life change, which sent me into stressful living. My weight sored to heights larger than my pregnancy weight, being 216 at my heaviest. I spent the next 15 years losing 20 lbs., then gaining 20 pounds, year after year, with no success ever losing 65 lbs. I had gained. Then, in January 2022, I had my blood panels run and was told I was prediabetic. That did it. I called OCC the next week and scheduled my surgery for Jan. 31. I did not want to follow the path of diabetes that many of my family members have. The sleeve surgery helped me achieve my weight goal. But it didn't just change my weight, it changed everything about my life. Finally, my mind is not consumed daily, hourly, of "how fat do I look?" And I can do things like clip my toenails and put on shoes and socks without being out of breath. I am running again, feel 20 years younger, and have set goals to run a marathon and get my black belt in Taekwondo. I am so grateful to OCC and Dr. Ortiz for helping me on this journey. I feel my whole life is now before me.
