Cynthia Norris. from Kitchener
I did my research for 2 years before deciding to go with the OCC. Being from Canada I could have chosen to have the surgery here and paid for however I was naturally nervous and wanted the best. I felt confident in my choice and no matter what anyone said about Mexico I knew I was choosing the best at what they do to have my surgery.
A mom of 4 and diagnosis with Rheumatoid Arthritis 13 years ago after the birth of my last son it was a huge struggle to just take care of the kids. I started putting weight on in my teens and it just kept climbing from there. At my highest weight I was 370 pounds and I was never one who dieted or cared what others thought about me. I started having strange heart murmurs that I could feel and that scared me. I had decided that this was enough. After my research and reaching out to OCC they got me started on my journey. Unlike most stories I see, I decided that I would commit to the weight loss and give myself time to adjust to the new diet they started me on. I lost 80 pounds in 6 months so when I got to the OCC I was 290 pounds at surgery day. I lost 180 pounds total and have hired a personal trainer who I have been working with for the past two years. I have maintained the weight loss but have gained so much muscle and love my workouts. I transformed my garage into a home gym and do 3 workouts at home ad well as the one time a week with my personal trainer. I love that OOC gave me a chance to get my life back with losing weight and I have used this as a tool to allow me to continue on with my fitness and journey. Thanks OCC. If you have not decided yet to take back your life now is the time. You won't regret it.
